1、成绩处理 避免短板

郑涛在校时的排名没有进入前三名,而顶级投资银行非常看重学生的成绩,在这方面处理的比较巧妙,只写百分比,排名在年级前5%以内,这个成绩基本可以通过。郑涛将成绩用奖学金表达,比较明智,其实能够获得专人设立的奖学金应该是非常优秀的。同学们在处理成绩时有几种办法,成绩好的,写GPA和排名,成绩一般的只写排名或者获奖状况,而单科成绩好的,最好把学科成绩列出。

2、实习经历 有所取舍

并不是经历越多越复杂就好,大部分同学所作实习都是和专业或求职相关的,所以一般人的实习经历都比较对口,但有很多同学因为实习经历浅薄,就把家教、导游、编程和管理等一大堆风马牛不相及的经历编到一起,这样容易让人认为你的职业规划不清,容易弄巧成拙。

3、学生职位 不要抄袭

有两个同学同时应聘一家大公司,两人在校职务撞了,结果被发现,两人都被公司拒掉。所以千万不要抄袭职位,即使必须写出担任职位,也一定要写自己能胜任且有兴趣的职位,而且面试前一定要准备好自我陈述,让面试者信服你的经历。

4、职位不同 重点不同

本科专业是基础学科,研究生阶段改投经济方向,找工作的时候,目标很明确就是与金融管理和战略管理有关的职位,所以本科专业一笔带过。郑涛简历的指向性也非常明确,突出管理实践经验,因为面面俱到等于没有重点。

5、专业不同 重点不同

此简历毕竟是以管理专业学生的案例为蓝本做的,它特别强调管理职位最看重的管理实习经验。而对于基础学科的学生,实习经验方面可能应该更加突出具体参与的实验项目和论文发表等。另外,基础学科的学生如果找与所学专业联系紧密的工作,一定要突出导师,有可能你的导师就是业界泰斗,没准可以狐假虎威一下。

Balance Sheet基本方法

选择要应聘的工作后,必须看清招聘广告上所列出的每项要求,再将自己的学历、能力与兴趣逐一与之比较,作一张balance sheet.

例如,一则关于marketing management trainee和job requirement是这样写的:

那么你相应地考虑自己的qualification的选择和表述,就可以这样写(与上列各项对应):

-Having actively participated in Business club's activities and learned accounting and management

-Good in communication with people and like a lot of out door activities, know how to tackle with people from all walks of life

-Fluent in English and Mandarin

这个方法的好处是可让求职者清楚了解该职位是否适合自己,而本身资料又是否切合要求,而且,明白了各项要求后,就可依据每一点在履历表上重点提出自己在该方面的强项。突出卖点(selling point),将之放在最吸引人的地方,使招聘者一眼可见,有利于present自己。

Work experience工作经验的陈述

工作经验是resume中令招聘者相当感兴趣的一项内容,善加措词是不可忽视的要务。

刚毕业,何来工作经验?其实,读书时的兼职、实习、实践,以至所曾参加的一些课外活动-协助出版学校刊物、举办活动,展览、宣传……都可算是工作经验、不过,表达起来要有针对性地展开,列出那些与所找工作有关的项目重点介绍,必要时更可使用summary的方式,以给招聘者深入的了解。

下面的写法显得相当简陋:

Job objective 事业目标

通常,一般求职者只会在履历表开端简单地写上所应征的职位-Position Applied: Management Trainee或I am applying for... 其实,若懂得利用这小小空间写出自己的事业目标(job objective),更能显示出你对该工作的热诚及憧憬,能令招聘者对你加倍留意。

如果要上网发履历,最好把履历表做成PDF格式,这样一般不会出现乱码和错误。可以使用一些网上流行的交流符号,最好先脱机校对一遍你对面试问题的答复,然后再发给雇主。和普通信件或履历一样,出现语法或拼写错误都会大大不利。注意语气,应当像面对公司的面试人员一样,显得稳健、有礼貌。

辞旧迎新,新的一年新的气象。2008年已经过去,身为职场中人,你是否想了解今年最受外企老板欢迎的英文简历是什么样的?毕业生和有经验的求职者在完成简历时又该各自注意什么问题呢?

一、首先,自己的姓名,地址,联系方式。比如电话或者电子邮箱等等。一般采用居中的方式,其他的则居左就可以了。如下:

除此之外,还可以加上一些个人情况,象婚姻情况,身体状况,业余爱好等等。

三、Experience 工作经验。这一点,别人可帮不了你,得自己写。不过以什么样的形式写,我可以给大家一个建议,比如:

上面这个例子中体现的方式是外国人普遍采用的方式。因为外国人从很小的时候就开始独立,那么他们可能从事过很多工作,这种方式即使是罗列很多条也比较清晰,而且还把时间和当时的职位用一种比较明显的方式标注,也能突出重点。职位下面的那句话就是对你所担任的那个职位简单描述了。

四、接着,要写objective(求职意向)。这一栏是最重要的一项了。很多公司主要看这一项的内容是否跟他们所要求的一致或者接近。比如:

OBJECTIVE:

A sales management or business development position where my strategic and consultative selling, cross-cultural relationship building, team facilitation, business management, organizational insight, and advanced technical skills will be continually challenged. I aspire to senior management responsibility and seek a company that embraces growth and change, where compensation is performance-based and increased levels of responsibility offered those with demonstrated potential.

(销售经理职位或者和企业发展有关的职位,可以使我的战略头脑、销售能力、建立跨文化关系的能力、团队能力、商务管理能力、组织能力和先进的技术能力都能够进一步的发挥和进步。……)

上面这个例子是老外的简历中的原句,当然对中国人来说比较复杂,如果对英语要求不高的话,其实也不需写这么多。一般来说可以直接翻译中文简历中的句子,但是也有很多比较好大家普遍接受的表达方法,由于各行各业不同,而应聘职位也不同,要根据情况而不同,具体请点击查看英文简历中各行各业应聘职位用语。但是如果你想要应聘外企或者所应聘的公司对英语要求比较高的话就可以把使用的句子修饰一下,当然要在自己的能力范围内哦。
